How to Create RSS Feeds in four simple steps

Create RSS Feeds (Create RSS)

Let me clarify a few things:

(a) You can create an RSS feed from a Blog

(b) You can also create an RSS feed from your existing web site which has articles and other content on it using “MyRSSCreator”

(c) You can also create an RSS feed from scratch, also by using “MyRSSCreator”

In my videos, I show you how to create an RSS feed from a Blog, by activating the syndication function.

To turn your web site articles or content into an RSS feed, the easiest way would be to use the RSS creation service called “MyRSSCreator”.

Creating your RSS feeds using “MyRSSCreator”is a simple four step process, and steps 1 and 2 involve completion of certain fields. Let me explain in detail what each step entails.

Step 1: You create your RSS Channel (RSS Feed) by specifying the various fields.






Step 2 in Create RSS Feed: You create your post.




Step 3 in Create RSS Feed: You submit to the Search Engines.

Step 3 is where you submit your RSS feed to the top ten RSS feed directories. In most cases, all you need to do is to click the ‘submit’ button.

For certain directories like Yahoo, you will need to create an account with Yahoo first.

Your RSS feed is also automatically listed for you, so you don’t need to type anything.






Step 4 in Create RSS Feed:
You copy the “RSS button” code and paste on your Blog (or site) for people to subscribe to your RSS feeds.

You can make money Blogging in a number of ways, and in this article I share with you up to nine ways in which you can make money blogging.

1. Make Money Blogging by Selling Advertising Space

You can also earn money blogging by providing technical services such as helping people to set up their Blogs or providing your own Blog hosting service.
One example of this is www.typepad.com . This is a Blog hosting service provider that charges a monthly fee. Typepad lets you create your Blog and they will host your Blog for you, and provide you with a number of Blog features.

3. Make Money Blogging by setttin up joint venture marketing

Joint Venture marketing is a powerful marketing strategy employed by many top online marketers.

Basically how joint venture works is this: You promote person B's products to your subscriber and customer list, and you get a cut from whatever sale that follows from this promotion.
You can apply the principle of joint venture marketing to Blogs as well. If you have a substantial readership to your Blog, you can also promote or endorse certain products to your Blog readers and this way, and split the profits from the sales generated. This is another way to make money blogging.

4. How to Make Money Blogging from using the Membership model

Over time, if your blog has lots of postings and provide good quality content, you can consider turning it into a membership site and charge access for it, again giving you another avenu

5. Make Money Blogging by turning your Blog contents into products
Another way in which you can make money blogging is to repackage your Blog contents into an e-book or an audio product and sell it. For example, if you run your own Podcasting show or an 'online radio show', you can easily compile your podcast recordings into a CD compiliation and sell it.

6. How to make money blogging by swapping blogs

You've heard of ad swapping when it comes to e-zine publishing, where publishers publish each other's ads in their own e-zines. This way, you save on adveritising costs.
You can repeat the same model to Blogs, as swap ads on Blogs as well. So instead of paying up front, you get to save, which means more money for you to spend!

7. Make money blogging by turning blog contents into RSS feeds and sell it as premium feeds

Your blog contents can be turned into an RSS feed. If the content is good, you can look for web businesses that are looking for good content for related topics and sell their feed to them.

8. How to Make Money Blogging by well, asking!

Hey, who's stopping you from putting a PayPal donation jar or button on your Blog? After all, there are lots of generous people out there you know.

9. Make Money Blogging as an Affiliate Marketer

Another way you can make money blogging is by promoting other people's products on your Blog. This is also known as affiliate marketing.

In affiliate marketing, you get paid a commission when someone clicks on your affiliate link and makes a purchase. Depending on the subject of your Blog, you can recommend products that solve people's problems.

For example, I had a subscriber who asked me how she can blog about cats and make money from blogging about cats.

I shared with her that firstly, perhaps she might want to go niche instead of targeting the broad
category of "cats", and using the example of a Persian cat, which is a niche by itself, she can start a blog on Persian cats, providing valuable information as well as recommended solutions and products to the upkeep and maintenance of Persian cats.

Perhaps you still don't realize or fully understand the power of RSS Feeds as a marketing tool.

After all, email works fine, doesn't it?

Unfortunately, the truth is:

1. It's getting harder to send e-mails to the prospect's inbox because of SPAM filters

2. People are getting numbed by the amount of e-mails they receive everyday

3. People are not reading their e-mails

4. It's getting harder to get people to opt-in or subscribe to your newsletter or content.

With RSS feeds, this changes the playing field:

1. RSS feeds can bypasses email - Eat your hearts out! Rss feeds can be read by desktop software and delivered right to your prospect everytime they turn on their PC

2. RSS feeds allow you to syndicate content rich news in your niche market and attract targeted prospects

4. E-mail doesn't allow yourself to be branded all over the Net. With RSS feeds, your content gets circulated/sydnicated and you can brand yourself as an expert.

5. RSS feeds can be submitted to RSS feeds directories, which will list your site within 24 hours which measn more traffic for you

These are just some of the few examples of the use of RSS feeds you can use in your marketing.

Why would you use Blogs instead of a web site?

You can definitely continue using a website in your online business.

Combining a website and a Blog however offer a number of superior advantages in terms of traffic generation, marketing and efficiency which a stand-alone website cannot do.

(a) Automatic push-button publishing.

Blogs are the easiest and cheapest way to have an online presence. For example, if you’re using Blogger, your Blog is hosted free by Blogger. Blogs allow you to publish your website without the need to know about any technical or programming issues such as HTML, FrontPage, FTP and so on.

Blogs provide a simple editorial interface. All you need to do is write your content, and publish it just by clicking the ‘publish’ button in most cases, and you’re done.

(b) Fosters relationship building, trust and ‘stickyness’

Unlike websites, which are static, Blogs allows interaction between you and your readers. Blogs have a commenting function, and if turned on, it allows readers and visitors to post their comments, thoughts or opinions to a particular article you have written.

Constant interaction with your readers builds a feeling of community and ‘stickyness’ factor. You can then recommend products more easily to them, and they would be more ready and willing to accept your product or services.

(c) Increase search engine ranking

Almost every major search engine has a software program called a ‘bot’ that searches or ‘spiders’ websites online to find new content which it can then bring back to update the search engine databases.

Basically what this means is the more frequently you update your site, the more frequently the search engine ‘bot’ will visit your site, and this helps to boost your search engine rankings.

If you make regular postings to your Blog, you can be sure that search engines will visit your Blog again and again.

You can then place links of your other websites in your Blog and these will get indexed quickly by the search engines.

Of course you could also update your existing web site with new content, but you would have to go through a more technical process, that of using an HTML editor or FrontPage and uploading through FTP and so on.

(d) Free listing in Google, Yahoo and MSN

The traditional way of getting your website listed in these three major search engines: Google, Yahoo and MSN is slow and inefficient.

A listing in Yahoo directory alone would cost you $299.

However, with the inclusion of RSS feeds by these search engines, you can now gain a ‘backdoor’ listing which is legal and free. If you have an RSS feed, you can have it included in Yahoo and MSN and your website will be immediately listed in these major search engines within 24 hours!

(e) Syndication Power

The most powerful feature of a Blog is its syndication function. Blogs can be turned into RSS feeds, and most Blogging service providers have this built-in function.

It is just a matter of turning it on from within your account.

Once it’s turned into an RSS feed, you can syndicate your Blog contents by:

• Submitting to the major RSS directories and search engines like Yahoo and MSN, gaining free exposure and free traffic
• Allow other website owners to publish your feed on their sites, again, getting free traffic you otherwise will not have
• Gain new readers, subscribers and potential clients by letting them subscribe to your RSS feed via a newsreader
